Paolo Caliari, known as Paolo Veronese (Verona, 1528 – Venice, 19 April 1588) was an artist of the Italian Renaissance who worked in Venice. Veronese was known as an extraordinary colorist and was the painter chosen by Palladio to fresco the estates, churches and palaces of Venice and its surroundings. Over the next few months, until the end of January 2015, a series of exhibitions between Padua and Venice will bring masterpieces to Venice from all over Europe and the United States
